WATTSENSE GATEWAYS
Wattsense gateways are intuitive Internet of Things (IoT) devices designed to simplify the integration and management of diverse building equipment and protocols for building management systems (BMS). They act as a universal connector and smart converter, allowing various sensors and systems to communicate seamlessly without requiring extensive coding skills.
Key Features and Functionality
- Multi-Protocol Support: Wattsense gateways unify a wide range of field communication protocols, including LoRaWAN, Modbus TCP/IP and RTU, BACnet IP, M-Bus, wM-Bus, KNX, and LON. This versatility allows them to connect virtually all types of equipment (HVAC, lighting, energy meters, sensors, etc.) within a building.
- Ease of Use & Quick Installation: The devices are designed for fast deployment. A configuration wizard in the web-based console allows users to connect devices in a few clicks, significantly reducing installation time compared to traditional methods.
- LoRaWAN Integration: A key feature is the ability to convert LoRaWAN data into standard BMS protocols like BACnet or Modbus. The gateways have a built-in LoRaWAN server that locally decodes data from a large library of compatible devices, enabling the use of cost-effective wireless sensors for various monitoring needs (temperature, air quality, energy consumption, etc.).
- Remote Management: The gateways offer remote configuration and management capabilities through a user console, allowing users to monitor live data, set schedules, and track events from anywhere.
- Flexible Connectivity: They offer multiple internet connectivity options, including Ethernet and 3G/4G cellular modems, ensuring reliable connection in various building environments.
